About Us

Prompt Action was established in 1989 by Gerald Hanson, affectionately known as Jerry. After relocating to Western Wisconsin from the east coast with his wife Edwina and their four sons, Jerry started the company to supplement his income from his job as a bus driver. With over 45 years of experience in the pest control industry, Jerry’s career began during his service in the United States Air Force, where he honed his skills.

Before founding Prompt Action, he held various positions, including technician, technician trainer, branch manager, and regional manager at one of the nation’s largest pest control companies. Jerry’s unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction propelled him to continuously explore and embrace new products and services throughout his career. In 2018, he transitioned away from the company to care for Edwina full-time as her health declined. Today, Jerry’s four sons proudly serve as the Owners and Operators of Prompt Action, upholding their father’s legacy of hard work, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
